Welcome to my Nightmare. So Halloween is right around the corner! I thought I would share some of my favourite movies in the form of a top 10 list to watch on the greatest day of the year.

Some of these are classics, some are some to watch and some are ones I remember watching as a kid.
10. Sleepy Hollow (1999)- I remember this being on TV a lot during Halloween season, I used to sneak my TV on to watch it when i knew it was on. Not really a fantastic movie but a good movie for Halloween.
9. House on Haunted Hill (1959)- A classic Vincent Price movie, fun yet still creepy for its age. This could be one to watch with the whole family.
8. Dawn of the Dead (1978)- Another movie I remember being on TV a lot, around the time that I should have probably been asleep. Staying up late to watch this zombie movie was always worth it for the dreams of being locked in a shopping centre and having free roam of it.
7. Frankenstein(1931)- You can’t have Halloween without a monster movie! the Universal classic is certainly a favourite of mine and still has one of the most shocking scenes I have seen from a movie of this era.
6. The Houses October Built(2014)- This is a newer entry, I watched this recently and found it a lot of fun! A found footage movie set in haunted house attractions that will definitely make you think twice about visiting one.
5. House of 1000 Corpses(2003)- Rob Zombie’s fan favourite is another must watch for Halloween in my opinion. Full of horrifically brutal scenes, you are sure to get tricks instead of treats.
4. The Evil Dead(1981)- A classic splatter fest of gruesome effects and cheesiness throughout. Another superbly fun movie to watch as the night gets late.
3. Trick r Treat(2007)- Anthology movie packed with Halloween treats, another movie that is a lot of fun to watch. Full of great stories that come together to make a Halloween favourite to watch every year.
2. The Exorcist(1973)- One of my all time favourite horror movies. If you want to be scared, then turn off all the lights and put this classic on.
- Halloween (1978)- For me, this is THE ultimate Halloween movie to watch, it doesn’t matter how many times I watch it, it is still perfect every time. This will be perfectly accompanied by Halloween 2(1981) and Halloween H20(1998), known as the “sister trilogy”
I hope this list helps you choose what to watch on the greatest day of the year. Just remember, the scarier the movie, the better experience! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
