The Night He Came Home (Bonus Post)

Welcome to my nightmare, this is going to be a bonus little post to show my appreciation for the Halloween franchise.

I first became a fan of of these movies at a young age after one Halloween night my parents allowed me to watch Halloween 6: the Curse of Michael Myers. I remembered being both terrified and enthralled, one scene in particular that always stuck in my head was the young girl dancing under the tree as it drips “red rain” only to find a mangled body in the branches. A short while later I stumbled upon a vhs tape which happened to be the 1978 original Halloween and since my parents had let me watch one before, I thought I might as well give this a try and I remember thinking it was the most scariest yet amazing thing I had ever seen. Even though I was a young age, I absolutely loved these movies and they became all I ever wanted to watch. As I got older I came across the other sequels, mainly when they were shown on late night TV, it doesn’t matter how many times I watch any of them, I am always glued to the screen and enjoying every second.

Now my list of all the movies of this amazing franchise, starting with my favourite.

  1. Halloween(1978)
  2. Halloween II (1981)
  3. Halloween H20 (1998)
  4. Halloween 4: the Return of Michael Myers (1988)
  5. Halloween 5 (1989)
  6. Rob Zombie’s Halloween (2007)
  7. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
  8. Halloween 6: the Curse of Michael Myers
  9. Rob Zombie’s Halloween II (2009)
  10. Halloween Resurrection (2002)

If Resurrection maintained the level of entertainment as it had in the first 15 minutes then it would have been slightly higher up on the list, that first part of the film is actually really good and a great follow up to the end of H20 but unfortunately the rest of the movie is totally ruined, mainly due to Busta Rhymes and a pretty bad storyline.
